MicroGrade Training |
SBCC has upgraded its MicroGrade
(MG) site license from Chariot
Software to version 5.0.3. As a full-time or adjunct SBCC instructor, you
are eligible to use this gradekeeping and class management software on Campus
and at home (for SBCC classes only). The new version of MG has enhanced
reporting features, including the ability to email student performance data and
post reports to the Web. The new version of MG can read and convert old MG
class files; however older versions of MG can not process MG files created in
the new version.
If you would like a home copy of
MicroGrade, you must check-out an installation CD from the Faculty Resource Center. MicroGrade
training is offered in the Faculty Resource Center each semester.
MG is available for both the Macintosh and Windows platforms; class files created on one platform can be moved to another platform. However, a common default font should be designated, and file names should adhere to the 8.3 DOS naming conventions (e.g. no spaces). Files may be transported over a network or via a DOS formatted diskette.

Electronic rosters are available
under your home directory H:\.

WebGrade
Tutorial -- MG reports may now be uploaded to Chariot Software servers for
(password-protected) student access over the Web. This process is best described in the Help/MicroGrade Help Contents/Using
WebGrade menu, and is of particular interest to distance-educators.
If you have questions about these procedures, please contact the Faculty Resource Center for Gloria Baltz at x 2860.
