Sabina Thomas
I grew up in Germany and received her PhD in Geology from the TU Berlin. I left Berlin for the U.S. in 1989 and taught at colleges and universities in Texas and Ohio until I moved to Santa Barbara in 2010.
I love to open students’ eyes to the beauty and mysteries of the outdoors and to the antiquity of our planet that is home to all of us. We belong here, and we all belong to SBCC and have the right to get a great college education! There are more connections between us than there are differences, and I thrive to instill a sense of connections among humans and the nature around us.
Outside of work, I like to raft, paddle, and learn about plants.
