Program Application

The Radiologic Technology Program is a 24-month program with selective admission. Before applying, please see the prerequisites. We strongly encourage all students to satisfy the SBCC General Education requirements before applying to the program due to the rigorous requirements of the program: ARRT Associate Degree Requirements.

The 2026 application cycle utilized a first-come, first-served process, but the 2027 cycle will transition to a lottery-based selection model for qualified applicants. All applicants who submit a complete application by the published deadline and meet all admission requirements will be entered into the lottery.

Selection for admission will be made through a random lottery from the pool of qualified applicants.  Applicants will not receive any advantage based on the date or time of submission. The application must be submitted during the official filing period.

To be included in the lottery, applicants must be active SBCC students, submit the online RT application during the designated application period, and ensure that all required transcripts and prerequisite coursework are completed and received by the published deadlines. Official transcripts for prerequisite coursework completed at another college must be received by the published transcript deadline in order for the application to be considered complete.

Applications received after the deadline, incomplete applications, or applications missing required transcripts will not be considered.

Students selected for admission will be notified by email.  All accepted students are required to attend the mandatory in-person orientation meeting held in March.

2027 Application Deadlines
