What We Do

Orfalea Early Learning Center @ SBCC is the childcare program for Santa Barbara City College.  Priority for enrollment is to serve student parents, staff and faculty.  The center is also a lab school for the training of SBCC students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Department.  The center serves children 2 years to 5 years or age or until they enter kindergarten.  This is for the fiscal year 2022/2023

Preschool:
7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-Th
7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fri--Every 3rd Friday close at 12:30 pm

Infant, Toddler and Twos: 
7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-Th
7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fri--Every 3rd Friday close at 12:30 pm

Ratios

Infants/Toddlers 1:4 (one adult to every 4 children)

Twos 1:4 (one adult to every 4 children)

Preschool 1:8 (one adult to every 8 children
