Parking Lots

There are many different parking lots available throughout the campus each designated to either students, employees, carpoolers or visitors. Signs are posted around campus to help direct drivers to the appropriate lots.  A Campus Map is available to help make sense of all the parking lot information below.

PERSHING PARK

Parking is often available in the Pershing Park lot located just east of East Campus. Parking in Pershing is free and is available to students, staff, and faculty with no permit necessary.

LEADBETTER LOTS

Parking is available for Students and Staff in the Leadbetter Parking Lots with a valid SBCC sticker for the spring and fall semesters.   Leadbetter East and Leadbetter West parking lots allow SBCC students and staff to park in the lots with a valid parking sticker when school is in session for Fall and Spring semesters.  This does not apply to the 90 minute parking stalls.  SBCC Parking Permits are not valid in the Leadbetter Parking Lots during the summer.

MOTORCYCLES & MOPEDS

HANDICAPPED & MEDICAL PARKING

Santa Barbara City College has both designated handicapped and designated medical parking spaces in many lots on campus. See the Campus Map for details.

Drivers may park in any handicapped space with valid Disabled Person (DP) parking placard. Applications to receive a valid handicapped placard are available in the Disabled Students Programs & Services (DSPS) Office (SS-160).

Medical parking is also available to students, staff, and faculty with temporary needs. One-day medical passes are available at any campus kiosk.  For extended medical parking students, staff, and faculty may obtain passes through the DSPS Office.

All vehicles parked in "Handicapped" zones must display a valid Disabled Person (DP) parking placard or Disabled Person (DP) license plate. "Handicapped" zone violators will receive a $350 citation.  Medical permits are not valid in "Handicapped" zones.
