IRP

Office of Institutional Research and Planning

Mission Statement

The Office of Institutional Research & Planning (IR) fosters and supports a college-wide culture of inquiry and evidence to inform decision-making for mission-focused, student-centered institutional transformation.

College Effectiveness and the Office of Institutional Research and Planning

The college aims to achieve institutional effectiveness through data-informed planning and decision-making. All areas of the college participate in these efforts through program review, which guides alignment with the college’s mission and goals, and informs continuous improvement and effective resource allocation. Constituents throughout the college also participate in planning and institutional effectiveness through participatory governance.

The Office supports these efforts by producing internal and external data reports for the college and district, conducting institutional research activities, and administering college surveys. The Office coordinates institutional planning, management of Board Policies and Administrative Procedures, institutional grant administration and college accreditation. IR also supports the institution’s evaluation of participatory governance effectiveness through regular assessment and reporting to the college stakeholders.

The office reports to the Office of the Superintendent / President.
